Brief Narrative Description of Project: |
The objective of the project is to increase the water supply capacity along National Highway No. 51 in Dong Nai Province by constructing water supply facilities thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the province. The project will construct a water treatment plant with the production capacity of 100,000 m3/day and transmission and distribution networks to supply safe water to industrial zones, export processing zones, and residential areas along No. 51 National Highway, including Bien Hoa City, Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts of Dong Nai Province, in an efficient manner.
Description of Actual Services provided in this Assignment:
The consultant’s scope of work involved the following tasks: a) Geological Technical Engineer – Under the leadership of project manager and co-project manager, coordinate with water supply/civil engineers, pipeline engineers, structural engineers in determination of the quantity and the depth of geological exploration boreholes; – Prepare a draft of geology survey tasks for submission to the employer for approval; – Conduct geology survey at site and prepare geology survey report for the purpose of detailed design in accordance with Vietnamese government’s regulations; – Investigate material sources and waste discharge plans; – Collect hydrologic data; – Solve problems related to geology in construction duration (if any); – Provide figures and assist project manager and co-project manager to complete monthly progress reports, quarterly progress reports. b) Geodetic Engineer – Under the leadership of project manager and co-project manager, coordinate with water supply/civil engineers, pipeline engineers, structural engineers in determination of the survey scope, the pipeline alignment and the cross-section width of pipelines; – Prepare a draft of topographic surveys tasks for submission to the employer for approval; – Conduct topographic survey at site and prepare survey report for the purpose of detailed design; – Prepare documents of underground service survey; – Solve problems related to topography in construction duration (if any); – Provide figures and assist project manager and co-project manager to complete monthly progress reports and quarterly progress reports. |
