Constructions Overview
Narrative Description of Project:
The Ministry of Health intended to construct an additional paediatric and ICCU building in accordance with the Strategic Development Plan 2011-2030 which is included in the MOH Development Plan. The proposed new paediatric building is to be constructed on an open field currently used as football/recreation field located on the east part of the hospital property, and the proposed new ICCU building is to be constructed on an area by demolishing the existing building. The land area for paediatric building is 3,224 square meters and for ICCU building is 252 square meters.
Description of Actual Services Provided in the Assignment:
The scope of services involves the detailed engineering design of the Paediatric and ICCU Building in Guido Valadares National Hospital, including other complementary facilities, utilities and landscape as its integral and inseparable part. The scope is comprised of:
- Conduct of topographical surveys and geotechnical studies
- Data Collection including inventory of specialized equipment and facilities;
- Development of Conceptual Schemes;
- Preparation of Preliminary Design;
- Preparation of Detailed Design; and
- Fabrication of Miniature Model
