| Brief Narrative Description of Project:
Haiphong City was suffering from habitual inundation due to a combination of heavy rainfall and high tide. Meanwhile, the drainage system was inadequate and the sewerage system was old and did not meet the requirements. Hence, the city intended to improve the drainage, sewerage and wastewater treatment facilities. The following works are indicated in the Terms of Reference (TOR) of the project: TOR 1) Construction Supervision and Equipment Installation, TOR 2) Study and Proposal of Long – Term Roadmap of Waste Water Tariff Collection, TOR 3) Design of Organization Structure for OM of WWTP and TOR 4) Study and Proposal of Connection Policy to Sewerage and Drainage System in Hai Phong City. This project involves the construction, rehabilitation or expansion of the sewerage system, pumping stations and existing drainage systems. |
| Description of Actual Services Provided in this Assignment:
The consultant’s scope of work involved the following tasks: a) Mechanical Engineer – Review and approval of the submitted documents on mechanical works from the contractors of CPA2, 3, 4 and CPB; – Supervision of the contractor’s site works especially on mechanical works; – Support to the project manager (PM), as requested; – Cooperate with other consultant’s staffs for the consultant service implementation; – Preparation of technical report on mechanical works as per requested by the PM; – Attend and facilitate discussion/meeting/inspection related to mechanical works as per requested by the PM. b) Electrical Engineer – Review and approval of the submitted documents on electrical works from the contractors of CPA2, 3, 4 and CPB; – Supervision of the contractor’s site works especially on electrical works; – Support to the PM, as requested; – Cooperate with other consultant’s staffs for the consultant service implementation; – Preparation of technical report on electrical works as per requested by the PM; – Attend and facilitate discussion/meeting/inspection related to electrical works as per requested by the PM. c) Wastewater Treatment Engineer – Design review for Ba Tong Box Culvert, which is prepared by the local consultant; – Finalization of design documents for Ba Tong Box Culvert; – Preliminary design for Ba Tong Pump Station (new). |
