PKII Actively Participated in the NK Group Technical Forum 2019

July 15, 2019

The 13th NK Group Technical Forum was held on July 11, 2019 at Bellesalle Kudan in Tokyo, Japan. This annual event organized by NK Headquarters aims to promote stronger and more collaboration among NKG companies for expanding the NK Group’s business through familiarity and better understanding of each member’s business areas, technologies, personnel, and organizational culture.

The recent technical forum was especially notable to PKII as it was the first time that the company joined and sent its representatives, namely: Mr Patrick John Ramos, Mr Marko Macadangdang, and Mr Julian Ed Cortez. Mr Ramos participated in the Oral Presentation Session, specifically on the topic regarding “New Ideas and Solutions for the Challenges”, and gave a presentation about the Enhancement of Planning for Sustainable Urban Public Transport System through Value Engineering Value Analysis: A Case Study for a Proposed Mass Transit System in Baguio and La Trinidad, Philippines. It is worth mentioning that Patrick received a commendation as “Best Presenter in English”, which was awarded during the banquet held at the culmination of the technical forum.

Meanwhile, Mr Macadangdang and Mr Cortez both participated in the Poster Presentation Session of the technical forum where representatives from various NKG companies exhibited their individual posters covering a wide range of subjects such as successful project experiences, innovative engineering practices, and advanced technical concepts, among others. In line with the company’s 30th founding anniversary celebration in 2019, PKII’s poster entry (left photo), jointly prepared by Marko and Jed, highlighted PKII’s long history of delivering excellent consulting engineering services and featured, among others, some of the company’s successfully completed projects throughout its 30 years in the industry.
