Philkoei Culminates its 35th Anniversary with a Grand Christmas “Coral-ing” Party

Pasig City, Metro Manila – 18 December 2024 – After five long years, Philkoei International, Inc. (PKII) hosted an unforgettable Christmas party, marking the company’s 35th founding anniversary and the first yuletide celebration since the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The event, held at The Nostalgia Lounge & Bar in Joy Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila, brought together employees, regular consultants, and friends from Nippon Koei Co. Ltd. (NK) for an extraordinary night of celebration.
The theme of the event, “Christmas CORAL-ing,” carried deep significance. Coral is the traditional color associated with a 35th anniversary, symbolizing longevity, and success. The evening was a time to reflect on the company’s remarkable growth and achievements over the years, while also looking forward to even greater milestones in the future.
The festivities began with an exciting mob dance that set the tone for the evening. PKII employees and NK guests were energized and ready to dive into the celebration. Before the fun commenced, the event was grounded with a solemn prayer led by Ms. Grace Benitez from the Administrative Department, fostering a reflective and thankful atmosphere.
A highlight of the Christmas gathering was the Service Award Ceremonies, where employees who have been with Philkoei for ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five, thirty, and even thirty-five years were recognized for their loyalty and dedication. These awards honored those who have been integral to the company’s journey, celebrating their long-term commitment to the success of PKII.
The main event of the evening featured the traditional group performances by newly hired employees. Their creativity and talents were on full display, as they entertained the crowd with impressive presentations that showcased both their wits and their team spirit.
Following the group performances, employees enjoyed a sumptuous dinner, allowing everyone to relax, savor delicious food, and enjoy the camaraderie that defines the PKII family.
The gathering concluded with a heartfelt message from PKII President, Sir Peter Samoza. He took the opportunity to express gratitude to all employees for their hard work and unwavering commitment. Sir Peter also reflected on the company’s successes, acknowledged the challenges of the past year, and shared the valuable lessons learned from those experiences.
A special message of gratitude was also delivered by Mr. Buntaro Shiono, Chief Representative of NK Manila Office. Mr. Shiono thanked PKII for the warm welcome he received earlier in 2024 upon accepting his appointment and emphasized the strong partnership between both organizations.
