PKII Gives Back

The Feeding, Educational, Environmental, and Disaster Relief Programs by Philkoei (F.E.E.D Koei), was launched last March 2019.

PKII’s CSR Program, known as F.E.E.D Koei, was established last March 2019 and is composed of compassionate members who have the heart to contribute to sustainable development and make an impact to the society through their works.

F.E.E.D. Koei launched its first CSR program at Hospicio De San Jose – a home for the homeless, in March 20, 2019 catering toddlers (1-3 y/o) and preschoolers (3-5 y/o). It was a heart-warming experience to see the innocent eyes and genuine smiles of these kids as they danced with Jollibee, ate the all-time-favorite chicken joy, and received pre-loved toys and stuffs. Donations were also given such as diapers, milk, and toiletries to aid in their daily needs.

The second CSR program organized by F.E.E.D. Koei was held in June 21, 2019 at Anawim Lay Missions Foundation – a foundation that caters to elderlies who have been rejected by their own families. The ambassadors were able to make the lolos and lolas smile through a simple program and various donations such as adult diapers, vitamins, and toiletries.

Because of the recent events with the Taal Volcano in Batangas, F.E.E.D. Koei participated in the relief operations of Red Cross for the Taal Volcano Eruption Evacuees last January 16, 2020. The repacking and collection of goods were also done by the volunteers in the office.

This goes to show that Philkoei International, Inc. is not solely an engineering consultancy firm that helps build infrastructure, but also an organization who builds public trust, brings new hope, and allies in social action programs for the benefit of the people, the environment, and the world.

Employee Training and Development

The year of 2019 is a radical year for the Human Resources Department as they turned the company’s Training and Development process to the next level.

Employees were sent to various external training that were expected to improve their performance and acquire additional knowledge related to their tasks.

HRD also acquired a training room where they held a number of in-house training. Aside from the bi-annual institutionalized capacity building of business development staff held last June 20, 2019 and December 13, 2019 by ICG Senior staff, HRD has organized, in partnership with the management team, several capacity development and behavioral enhancement training such as the Professional Development and Leadership training held last February 18 to 20, 2019 by Mr. Lito Baldisimo, PKII consultant; Basic Bridge Design and Detailing last June 8, 2019 by Engr. Julius Ferdinand Uy; and MIDAS Civil Basic Training Session last December 6 & 7 by Ms. Jirah Realo of MIDAS IT Philippines.

For 2020, HRD aspires to provide more capacity development activities to PKII staff and envisions Philkoei to be one of the accredited CPD providers of the Philippines. In fact, PKII is ready to be a provider of CPD trainings for engineers. HRD already submitted the requirements to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and is just waiting for a date when they can start providing in-house trainings and capacity-building activities that may be credited and considered as CPD compliance.
