October - PKII was established by seven professionals and Mr. Mariano M. Santos was appointed as President
December - Actual office operations commenced at Pacific Star Building, Makati City
1990
August - First overseas deployment of Filipino engineers for the construction supervision of the MWEA Irrigation Project, an NK project in Kenya
November - Mr. Jesus M. Sunga was appointed as VP for Operations
1991
July - The First Design Center was established where various design projects such as the USAID-funded projects of the Economic Support Fund (ESF) and the Karawang Industrial Estate Project in Indonesia were undertaken
1992
July - PKII joins the Council of Engineering Consultants in the Philippines (CECOPHIL). Mr. Santos was elected to the Board of Directors and served as Director from 2000 to 2005 and as Secretary in 2000, 2001, and 2004
November - NK, in association with PKII, was awarded the contract for the detailed design of the Agno River Flood Control Project (ARFCP)

December - PKII, in joint venture with UP Consult, was awarded the contract for the Master Plan of Portions of Fort Bonifacio and Villamor Air Base

March - NK, in joint venture with PKII and Hydroterre Consultants, was awarded the contract for the Agrarian Reform Support Infrastructure Project (ARISP)
1997
March - NK, in joint venture with PKII, commenced services for the Mt. Pinatubo Hazard Urgent Mitigation Project
2000
September - PKII, in collaboration with NK, initiates the conduct of preliminary traffic and alignment study for the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway Project which became the basis of the Japanese ODA (Obuchi Fund)
2006
January - PKII established its International Consulting Group (ICG) with Ms. Zenaida N. Abad appointed as VP for ICG. During its maiden year of operations, major projects included the Doha West Sewage Treatment Works Project in Qatar, and the JICS-funded Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project in Pakistan

April - Mr. Peter S. Samoza was appointed as PKII President after retirement of Mr. Santos
2010
January - The new Design Center was established to undertake off-site design services of overseas projects. Major projects undertaken include the Baghdad Sewerage Facilities Improvement Project and the Erbil International Airport, both in Iraq
PKII was awarded its first contract with MNTC Corporation (now NLEX Corporation) for the detailed design of retrofitting of bridges along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX)

February - PKII developed the Nippon Koei Group HR Database System
December - PKII’s VP for ICG, Ms. Zenaida Abad, was elected President of CECOPHIL, the first and only womanpresident in the organization’s 35-year history. She served a 3-year term as President until December 2014
