In
line with NK’s medium-term policy of accelerating global
deployment, PKII has recently facilitated the development of the
Nippon Koei Group (NKG) Human Resources (HR) database system,
which is an online tool for searching and managing qualified experts
for NKG projects. Presented to NK Headquarters in Tokyo in May
and officially launched in June this year, the database currently
holds the profiles of more than 600 professionals and consultants
of PKII, NK India, Indokoei and Thaikoei, which the NKG, primarily
NK technical departments, can propose and engage in their upcoming
projects. Remarkable features of the system include secured access
to experts’ records by authorized NKG users; control, monitoring
and management of experts’ information by designated local
database administrators; online registration by interested new
consultants; and online updating of personal and professional
details by registered experts themselves, among others.
Having
pioneered this innovation, PKII acts as the chief administrator
of the system, ensuring its efficient and reliable operations
at all times as well as coordinating and communicating with the
registered group companies for all technical concerns. While the
database only encompasses four NK affiliate firms at present,
freelance experts of NK Tokyo and other group companies would
soon be integrated into the system, thereby expanding and making
the facility a more comprehensive and diverse pool of NKG resources.
Before long, the NKG HR database system, as long as effectively
used and maximized, would be very instrumental not only in strengthening
the NK Group’s corporate strategy but also in enhancing
the organization’s global competitiveness.
